"Please document exactly what I'm telling you. I want my full symptoms and history reflected in my chart."
"My bleeding has impacted my work, relationships, and mental health. I want a care plan that addresses the full picture."
"If a man had these symptoms, would you respond the same way?"
"I'm advocating for myself because I have to. I hope you'll meet me with the respect all patients deserve."
Conversational Language
"I've noticed these symptoms for a while, and I'd really appreciate your help figuring out what's going on."
"I know bleeding disorders can show up differently in women. Can we talk about how this might apply to me?"
"Would you mind writing this down in my record? I want to make sure everything is noted."
"If this isn't something you specialize in, is there someone you recommend I talk to who does?"
"I really just want to feel heard and get the care that works best for me."
